Marriage
As a church, our desire is to partner with young couples in building a marriage which honours God. When it comes to investing in couples in the pre-marital process (both seriously dating and engaged couples), our goal as a church is two-fold:
- to motivate couples to invest in developing their prospective marriage during a season of their lives where their attention is often predominantly devoted only to their wedding ceremony. (Matthew 7:24) To that end, we see ourselves much more as marriage-builders than wedding ceremony planners. Before God we have a responsibility to help couples consider what a godly marriage relationship looks like.
- our aim is to motivate a couple to be developing spiritually, individually, and as a couple. (Matthew 6: 19-21) We want to do more than help people learn to communicate better or manage their finances; we want to help them ‘go for it with God’ to a greater degree.
