Distress Centre of Niagara

Provides a free, confidential, 24-Hour Distress Line. The DSN uses trained volunteers to assist callers to solve their own problems. Information and referrals and intervention in life-threatening situations are provided. Extensive pre-service training programs for distress line, suicide prevention and intervention workshops and communication skills training are also available.

The Niagara Region Sexual Assault Centre, Carsa Inc., provides services in a safe and comfortable environment for survivors of child sexual abuse, incest and adult sexual assault. They offer a 24-hour crisis line, emergency services, individual and group counseling, accompaniment and advocacy through medical and legal proceedings, public education programs and community events.

ALL SERVICES ARE FREE AND CONFIDENTIAL

They are a non-profit, community-based organization providing unconditional and nonjudgmental support and empowerment to those who have survived any form of sexual violence. They believe that any form of sexual abuse is an abuse of power and control and is an act of aggression and violence over an individual.
