Eden High School began as a small private school owned and operated by the Ontario Conference of Mennonite Brethren Churches and later partnered with the Niagara District School Board to offer an alternative Christian high school experience for teens in the Niagara region. Over the years, Eden High School has grown in population close to 800 students.

With so many students, there are many different needs and situations represented. Often, with no one to turn to, students struggle alone and feel that they don’t have a safe place to deal with the pressures of being a teenager. At Eden High School, the Spiritual Life Department (SLD) strives to be that safe place for their students. The SLD exists to lead students to learn of Christ and to live for Christ. They aim to do this by providing a number of programs for students (daily chapel, worship teams, mission trips, discipleship training, grade 9 bible program, student leadership development, grade level retreats) as well as by being available for one-on-one support for both students and parents.

The Ridge is committed to partnering with the SLD in their critical mission to teens. Drew Unruh, a member of Southridge is one of the staff leaders in the SLD at Eden.
