Kairos is an interdenominational Christian ministry whose program provides a service to men’s and women’s correctional facilities in Canada and the United States. The 3 day short course on Christianity is offered right inside various correctional institutions by teams of trained laity and clergy. The primary objective of this weekend is to introduce Christ to the inmates and provide an environment for an ongoing Christian community within the prison setting.

Kairos Outside Ministry is a parallel course to the Kairos weekend and is provided to women who have family members who are or have been incarcerated. This weekend takes place in a local retreat setting.

Members of Southridge can get involved by becoming a trained volunteer for the weekend team or through their willingness to sign up to intentionally pray for the weekend. As well, Southridge is thankful to be able to contribute to the financial support of the Kairos ministry.
