Friend Carolyn Helstrom is 73 years old. She went into Loyalist Retirement residence Nov. 3, 2025. She had a fall and concussion over 2 years ago. She saw a Neurologist in August but has no diagnosis as yet. She struggles to think straight and her ability to walk without a walker is not possible now. Both parents had dementia and she may have early onset of this. I would like prayer for her. She is anxious and fearful. She is a longtime Presbyterian. Her church was in Stamford area of Niagara Falls. I prayed with her today and she was so grateful. Thankyou. Liz Field, new person at Southridge since Sept. 2025.

During this Christmas and New Year season, we invite you to explore a fantastic spiritual practice resource that many in our community have been finding a game-changer in their own spiritual lives.

Click Here to watch a 1-min video describing Lectio365 – a (free!) Daily Devotional and Guided Prayer App.

Each morning:

Engage in a creative 8-10 minute guided practice of scripture contemplation, personal reflection, and prayer.

Each evening:

Engage in another guided practice in the Prayer of Examen, contemplation, and preparation for rest.

We highly encourage you to give it a try for these two weeks, and just see what it does for your heart, mind, body, and spirit!

Weeks of December 26, 2022 -January 7, 2023

Ready for what's next?

Contemplations
What Is God Like?

The words that Rachel Held Evans and Matthew Paul Turner have put together, paint a beautiful picture (actually a bunch of them) of who God is, how God loves, and the place each one of us can find inside those arms...

Guided Prayer
Cell Phone Prayer

We want to experiment right now with a simple prayer exercise -- a chance to share some honest and personal thoughts with God about what’s going on in our lives. To help us do this, if you own a cell phone, you’ll want to grab that right now...

Reflection
Gratitude #1

What if gratitude is less a feeling, and more a mindset or a perspective, something we practice, not because we’re thankful but in order to become more thankful?
